Dr. Philip M. Bonaparte, M.D. is the Senior Pastor of New Hope Church of God. He gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 15 and started preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to fellow high school students. At the age of 19 he was called by the Lord to pastor, and founded the Woodlands New Testament Church of God in Grenada, West Indies.
Pastor Bonaparte is married to Rev. Tracey S. Watson-Bonaparte and is the proud father of Philip II and Philicia. He loves evangelism and has made several missionary trips to places such as India, Canada, England, and many Caribbean Islands, such as Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent, and Grenada, providing medical care and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
On September 22, 2002 he started New Hope Church of God in Millstone Twp, NJ. Today, the church has grown to over 200 members, representing 15 different nationalities and cultures. Dr. Bonaparte is in the highest ministerial rank with the Church of God, (Bishop), and served as a District Overseer for four churches and on the NJ State Ministers Council, Coordinator for NJ Pastoral Care Covenant Group Program.
Selwyn Arnold - Youth & Worship & Arts Pastor
Selwyn and Michelle were married in August 2008 and God has continued to open doors of ministry for them both as their unique journeys have become solidified as one. The Arnolds are bound together with a heart for souls to be won for Christ—especially the Youth of our day. The challenges they throw out to their generation cannot go un-noticed.
Rev. Selwyn Arnold is the Youth Pastor and Worship & Arts Pastor at New Hope Church of God in East Windsor NJ. He was called to be a minister at the age of 17 and began preaching from that time. He was set forth into ministry when he was 21 and played an active role in preaching, evangelism, music ministry and Youth Pastor at his local church.
Selwyn earned his B.S in Sociology and Minor in Psychology from Rutgers University and a M.B.A from Phoenix University. He is a Licensed Minister in the Church of God. Selwyn has also been a familiar face as a lecturer at several Church of God Music and Worship venues including NYLA/North East Leadership Summit and Southern New England Tools Conference between 2003 and 2008. He has been a Teen Talent Adjudicator and Music Chairman and Coordinator for the state of New Jersey from 2003 to 2006. Selwyn has also been a part of the International General Assembly orchestra for several years.
Selwyn has performed with and opened for artists such as Papa San, Dorinda Clarke-Cole, Alvin Slaughter, Nancy Jackson-Johnson, Lucinda Moore and others. He is a Producer, Song Writer and soon to be Recording Artist in his own right. In the course of his ministry he met his wife, Michelle Arnold who led a very full life in music ministry in her own right. Michelle, being born into a family of ministry surrendered her life to the Lord at a young age and served in her local church as Music Director, Praise & Worship leader, Sunday School Teacher, Teen Girls Counselor, event planner and a faithful assistant to the Youth Pastor.
